BEST SHOW ON TV

I hope everyone else watches 24, because if you don't, you are missing the BEST show on TV right now. Last night's episode was intense, each week it gets better. By far the most action-packed hour of television. Like my buddy McGone says, nothing beats the "Jack Bauer power hour!"


In other entertainment news...I heard that Brad Pitt and George Clooney have agreed to do OCEANS 13 !?!?! Come on, are you serious? OCEANS 12 was not even that good, nowhere near as good as 11.

Also.. BASIC INSTINCT 2 starts Friday. Wow, a lot of hype on this one, last night was the first I had seen of a trailer on this movie, and they had to show Sharon Stone stradle a chair and hike up her dress. Seriously, who wants to see her 48 yr old cha-cha? I am sure it will be horrible.

Baby # 3 info:

Well, we had our next ultrasound today, baby girl Eslinger is measuring 21 weeks, right on course! Everything looked good and she was moving around a lot. I will post pictures later this week, hopefully. I need to scan them in.

Well, it is Monday, and here I am at work updating my blog already, nice huh?

Last week got some good new, in my opinion. The Chicago Bears signed QB Brian Griese to a 5 yr deal. I really like him and think he is what the Bears need to win. As long as they don't make Rex Grossman the starter by default. I believe Griese will blow him out of the water in Training Camp. I think Grossman is nothing special, he has not even played 10 games in his 3 yr NFL career!

Didn't do much this weekend, went to visit the parents and my cousin Dan and her husband Sam were in. They have 2 boys Clayton - 3 yrs old - and Connor - 18 mos- so Ryan got to play with them on Saturday. he had a lot of fun. Pictures on Flickr if anyone wants to see.

So last night my wife was watching American Idol and on comes Barry Manilow to perform. Seeing him on stage made me wonder....


1. How does this guy still have a singing career?
2. Then I remembered, "Oh yeah, people like my MOM still like him!"
3. Pushing 63 Barry, can you say BOTOX? This man's face did not move at all! He could barely smile!

Wednesday night TV.....

So for some reason I watched some of UNAN1MOUS on FOX - wow what a bad show. 9 people in a bunker and one gets $1.5M - but they all have a dark secret, blah blah blah. The host appearing like Max Headroom on the screen, is J.D. Roth, continuing his string of bad hosting job selection. he used to host a couple of Kids 'survivor endurance-style' shows. So bad I won't even waste the time typing...

Nice quote from TVGuide.com sums it up.... "the minister, called money the root of all evil, but then goes on a reality show that gives away a huge cash prize and once claimed bankruptcy while hiding a six-figure nestegg in the bank? What, does she think god doesn't watch bad reality shows?" True Dat!

Simon Sofer told dozens of clients he was a doctor and said he could add up to 10 cm (3.9 inches) to their height or six cm (2.4 inches) to their genitals, the Tel Aviv court said. He told the court genitalia enlargements were not performed, despite advertisements that promised them.
People who sought to become taller were suspended from the air by their arms and legs, or had their bodies stretched with weights. Others were poked with needles or given food supplements and exercises to perform at home.
"Only a lunatic could take a person who has not been checked (by a doctor) and hang him upside down," the court in a transcript quoted a witness as saying at one trial session in February.A judge sentenced him to two years jail, taking into account he had no criminal record and lives with his mother, who supports him financially.

iPOD Video

Well, I always told myself "I have no need for a video iPod, my iPod mini is just fine" Well, I broke down and bought a video iPod last week, and I have to say..I LOVE IT! I got the 30GB Black model, and so far I have 1011 songs, 700 photos and 13 videos on it. This thing is truley amazing. It's like having a wallet full of 700 photos to show people the pictures of my kids! And now that certain Television Networks have made their shows availabel to download, I can watch episodes of "The Office" while sitting at my desk.

All in all, I think it was worth the $300 I spent. I can now download home videos of the boys to share with people whenever! Never thought I would own one, and now that I do, I am showing it off to everyone!
