Devon Hester

Everybody wants a guy like this on their team. 2 Kick Returns for TDs tonight, and damn that guy is just ridiculously quick. And he is a rookie! Hester set an NFL record with his fifth and sixth returns for touchdowns this season. He reminds me of Dante Hall a few years ago for Kansas City. Just makes plays happen and is exciting to watch every time he touches the football.

I have to feel bad for Rex also. Yeah he is inconsistent this year, but give him some slack. When they were 4-0, everyone praised him and said the Bears were going 16-0 , then all of a sudden Rex started his downward spiral. Yeah he has had some horrific games, and has heard it from every media outlet. So now tonight he goes 13-23 200yds 2 TD and 0 INT,s and they are saying how calm and collective he looks in the pocket, and that he is out of his funk.

He did look good, but I would not praise him just yet, given the way this season has gone. Not trashing the guy, but it just kills me how the media is so quick to label players either Great or a Bust from week to week. I will admit, I thought Brian Griese should have been in there weeks ago! That is the beauty of pro sports, the level of play fluctuates, and that is what makes for great games and great upsets.

Thank god the Offense showed up tonight, because it is obvious that the defense is getting burned out. They can only do so much before they start to get injured.

Tonight's win gives them a First Round Bye in the playoffs, another win should shore up Home Field in the playoffs. Go Bears.
